Barton is a mortgage loan officer and management professional. He has over 25 years of experience in training, management and sales. As a young boy growing up in Colorado, he developed a love for golf. He followed his dream of working in the golf industry becoming golf professional at several different Tournament Players Clubs, golf professional at Sawgrass Country Club and General Manager at Oak Bridge Club at Sawgrass. During his time in golf management, Barton developed multi-million dollar budgets and oversaw a multi-million dollar golf course renovation project. Upon leaving the golf industry to prioritize family, Barton began working in the mortgage industry. In 2014 he was introduced to refugees through his church’s giving program. He and his wife, Lori, became volunteer Friendship Partners with World Relief Jacksonville. It was at the 90 day point, when the refugee agency case files were closed and they experienced the insecurity and struggle that refugees face trying to do things on their own that Barton and Lori knew they needed to do more. Beyond90 was founded based on their experiences working with refugees. Barton has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Colorado, Boulder and is also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Leadership Program.
